Services and Products
We are an online retailer dealing primarily in English Pottery, Ceramics and Collectables. The majority of our stock comes directly from Stoke-On-Trent (The Potteries) where we deal mainly with Coalport, Masons, Peggy Davies/ Kevin Francis, Royal Doulton, Royal Worcester, Spode and Wedgwood. Our items are sold both from this website and on E-Bay under the name of "Ornamental_Touches". Occasionally our stock may be listed both on the website and on E-Bay in which case we reserve the right to terminate E-Bay auctions early should an item sell prior to the end of the auction. We currently accept payment in the form of PayPal, Postal Orders, and Cheques (Cheques for UK buyers only). In the future we may add a Credit Card payment facility, however, for the time being, PayPal serves this payment method with excellent security.
Registration
We ask that our buyers first register their details with us before purchasing any items. These details are sent over a secure connection and will never be issued to any third party. You will need to create a Username and Password which you will use to login to the website and we require your address/ shipping details for the delivery of your purchases. Should you change your address or wish that an item be sent to a different address then please inform us via e-mail. Your password is encrypted before being stored in our database and therefore no one (including ourselves) will be able to acquire it.
Once you have created a Username and registered your details with us, you will beable to login to the site. You will then have access the your shopping cart and checkout facilities and thus can purchase items from the site. In the near future we aim to provide our members with a "My Account" section where they will be able to ammend their details and view their transaction status/ history.
Stock and Availability
We carry a range of our popular stock in house; however, due to the lack of storage space, we also work with our suppliers to acquire items as and when they are ordered from the website. Although we try and keep our website up to date with stock availability from our suppliers, we can not guarantee 100% the availability of all the items advertised on the website. In the unlikely event that an item you have ordered has become unavailable, then we will instantly issue you with a full refund. Please e-mail use at Queries@OrnamentalTouches.com if you wish to confirm an items availability before purchase.
Sometimes we do not advertise the full range of products available under certain suppliers and categories; for example... Plates and Mugs may not be advertised under a range of Spode Tableware, or a figurine from a Royal Doulton collection may not be advertised. Or maybe you are searching for a particular item from a discontinued range...
If you can not find what you are looking on the website then please feel free to e-mail us with the details of the item and we will endeavour to acquire it for you with no obligation to purchase.
Website Updates/ Listing Errors
As we are continually updating our product catalogue, occasionally products may appear on the website without an image, or with a price/ shipping value of £0.00. If this is the case, then we apologies but obviously item will not be sold or shipped at £0.00 and the correct details and missing images should be updated within the hour. We apologise should such instances occur.
UK Buyers
We currently accept three types of payment in the form of Personal Cheques, Postal Orders, and PayPal from our UK customers. After you have added any items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and proceeded to the online checkout, you will be given a choice of how you would like to make your payment.
Personal Cheques: If you choose to make your payment via cheque, you will be given payment instructions and the items from your shopping cart will be reserved for you for up to 5 working days. If you feel that your cheque may not arrive within 5 working days, then please inform us so that we do not assume you no longer wish to purchase your order. Once your cheque has cleared your items will be dispatched according to the expected delivery time.
Postal Orders: If you choose to make your payment via postal order, you will be given payment instructions and the items from your shopping cart will be reserved for you for up to 5 working days. If you feel that your postal order may not arrive within 5 working days, then please inform us so that we do not assume you no longer wish to purchase your order. Once your postal order has been received, your items will be dispatched immediately or according to the expected delivery time.
PayPal: If you choose to make your payment via PayPal, you will be be directed to PayPal's Secure Payment Server. You will require a PayPal account in order to make your payment. If you do not have a PayPal account then the option is available for you to create an account before proceeding with your purchase. By using PayPal you can purchase your items using a credit or debit cart of your choice. As the funds will be transferred instantly, your items will be dispatched immediately or according to the expected delivery time.
UK Shipping: We dispatch all of our items through Royal Mail using either the "Special Next Day Delivery" or "First Class" services. If your item is small and relatively cheap (usually under £28), then we will use First Class delivery to keep your shipping costs as low as possible. Items over £28 will be shipped using Special Next Day Delivery. Shipping costs for all items are determined by the item's weight (including its packaging). In case of postage errors on Royal Mail's behalf, all deliveries are to be 'Signed For' upon arrival. Items over 2kg are dispatched using Royal Mail Standard Parcels to reduce your postage costs.
International Buyers (None-UK)
We currently accept two types of payment in the form of Postal Orders and PayPal from our International customers. After you have added any items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and proceeded to the online checkout, you will be given a choice of how you would like to make your payment.
Postal Orders: If you choose to make your payment via postal order, you will be given payment instructions and the items from your shopping cart will be reserved for you for up to 14 working days. Postal Orders must be made payable in GPB only. If you feel that your postal order may not arrive within 14 working days, then please inform us so that we do not assume you no longer wish to purchase your order. Once your postal order has been received, your items will be dispatched immediately or according to the expected delivery time.
PayPal: If you choose to make your payment via PayPal, you will be be directed to PayPal's Secure Payment Server. You will require a PayPal account in order to make your payment. If you do not have a PayPal account then the option is available for you to create an account before proceeding with your purchase. By using PayPal you can purchase your items using a credit or debit cart of your choice. As the funds will be transferred instantly, your items will be dispatched immediately or according to the expected delivery time.
International Shipping: We dispatch all of our items through Royal Mail via Airmail using either the "International Signed-For" or "Airmail Small Packets" services depending upon the weight of the items. Shipping costs for all items are determined by the item's weight (including its packaging). In case of postage errors on Royal Mail's behalf, all deliveries are to be 'Signed For' upon arrival.
Shipping
We are based in the UK but we will ship your items to anywhere in the world. All of our items are sent via Royal Mail postage service (via Airmail overseas). All items will be packaged with great care and the cost of shipping your order will be determined by the weight of your items (including the packaging). Combining Shipping: If you are purchasing more than one item, it is quite possible that we can reduce your total shipping costs by combining the items into one. If you wish to check if we can reduce your postage then please e-mail us (Queries@OrnamentalTouches.com), with the details of the items you wish to purchase and where the items will be shipped to. We will then weigh your combined items, and will get back to you with a revised shipping quote. If you purchase (or have already purchased) more than one item and we have been able to significantly reduce your shipping cost by combining the items, then we arrange a partial shipping refund with you so that you never pay more than is necessary.
Refund Policy
If you need to return an item for any reason then please e-mail us explaining why. Please note that items must be returned in the same condition as they were dispatched.
